We may update these terms at any time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms and that you have been informed of those changes.
1. Services provided
Truck Permit Services Inc. (“NY Permits”) offers an online platform to help motor carriers order New York Highway Use Tax (HUT) credentials — including temporary 72-hour HUT permits and HUT stickers — and related compliance support.
Truck Permit Services Inc. is a private filing and assistance service. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance or any other government body.
2. User responsibilities
- Provide accurate company, contact, address, and vehicle information during the order process.
- Confirm that USDOT, EIN, VIN, plate, weights, and related details are correct before you pay.
- Carry valid credentials before operating on New York public highways.
- Keep your account login secure and change any temporary password after first sign-in.
3. Orders, accounts, and checkout
Online checkout is available for temporary 72-hour HUT permits and HUT stickers. Processing times are estimates; final issuance depends on New York State review.
If you place an order with an email that is not already registered, we may create a customer account for that address and email a temporary password so you can view orders, trucks, and payments. If you do not receive that email, use Forgot password on the login page to set a new password.
Clicking Pay on the checkout page means you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, authorize the card charge for the order total, and agree that we may create or use a customer account for the email you provided.
4. Payment and refunds
Payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses resulting from inaccurate information you submit, state system delays or outages, denied or delayed applications, user errors, or service disruptions beyond our reasonable control — including fines or penalties that may arise from operating without valid credentials.
6. Changes to these terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Updates are posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms and acknowledgment that posting on the Site is notice to you.
7. Language versions
The Site and these Terms may be provided in English and Spanish (or other languages). Translations are for convenience only. If there is any difference, conflict, or inconsistency between the English version and any translation, the English version controls and is the official, binding version.
